Privacy notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I collect it and what I do with it.

Who I am

Actavia is the consulting practice of Paul Hetfield, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I am responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact me about anything in this notice at paul@actavia.co.

What I collect and why

When you send me a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address, organisation, role and message and, if you choose to say, how you found me. I use these details to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry.

When you take the AI Readiness Audit

Before showing your results, the audit asks for your name, your work email address and, if you wish, your organisation. These are sent to me by email with your six answers and your overall score. I use them to contact you about your results. Your answers are not published.

When you ask to be told about the book

If you enter your email address in the “Notify me” form, I use it to tell you when the book is on sale. Every email I send to that list includes an unsubscribe link.

When you book a conversation

Bookings are made through Calendly, on Calendly’s own website. Calendly collects your name, your email address and anything else you enter when booking, and passes them to me so that I can prepare for and hold the conversation.

When you email me

If you email me directly, I keep your email and my reply.

When you visit this website

The company that hosts this website keeps standard server logs. These record technical details such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages requested, and are used for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking. The fonts are stored on this website and are not loaded from another company.

If you follow a link to another website, such as Calendly or LinkedIn, that website’s own privacy and cookie policies apply.

Who I share it with

I do not sell personal information, and I do not give it to anyone for their own marketing. I use a small number of service providers to run this website and my practice. They handle information on my behalf:

  • Fasthosts, for website hosting and email
  • MailerLite, for the book notification list
  • Calendly, for booking conversations

These providers may store information on servers outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United Kingdom, the European Union and the United States.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiries, audit results and related emails for as long as I need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it. I keep your email address on the book notification list until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove it.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email paul@actavia.co and I will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your local data protection law, including the right to complain to your data protection regulator.

Changes to this notice

If I change how I handle personal information, I will update this page and the date at the top.
